Asset Finance settlement requirements

Before submitting an invoice in Shift Connect, check which documents may be needed for your Asset Finance sale type. Requirements vary by sale type and may also depend on the financed amount, asset details, existing finance, or security arrangements.

Dealer sale

What to provide
You may also need
  • Copy of the compliant tax invoice for the asset being financed.
  • If the financed amount is over $250k, provide a Certificate of Currency noting Shift Financial Pty Ltd as the interested party.

Private sale (business)

What to provide
You may also need
  • Copy of the compliant tax invoice for the asset being financed.
  • Copy of the current registration papers for the vehicle.
  • Copy of the vendor’s bank statement or bank deposit slip to verify their account details. This must be no more than 12 months old.
  • If the financed amount is over $250k, provide a Certificate of Currency noting Shift Financial Pty Ltd as the interested party.
  • For $300k–$500k, provide a finance inspection report from an authorised body, such as Redbook. This is provided by the customer.
  • For over $500k, the loan amount is subject to an external formal valuation by a Shift-selected valuer.
  • If there is an existing financier, provide a payout figure, including an undertaking to release its interest over the asset once cleared funds are received.
  • If an ALLPAAP/GSA is present for the vendor, a signed Deed of Release may be required.

Private sale (individual)

What to provide
You may also need
  • Copy of the compliant and signed invoice for the asset being financed.
  • Copy of the current registration papers for the vehicle.
  • Copy of the vendor’s driver licence and the front page of their bank statement, or a bank deposit slip, to verify their account details. This must be no more than 12 months old.
  • Copy of the finance inspection report from an authorised body, such as Redbook. This is provided by the customer.
  • For over $500k, the loan amount is subject to an external formal valuation by a Shift-selected valuer.
  • Vendor details are needed to organise the valuation, and fees are payable upfront by the applicant.
  • If the financed amount is over $250k, provide a Certificate of Currency noting Shift Financial Pty Ltd as the interested party.
  • If there is an existing financier, provide a payout figure, including an undertaking to release its interest over the asset once cleared funds are received.

Sale and buyback

  • Original invoice within 90 days of purchase.
  • Proof of payment from the client to the vendor.
  • If the financed amount is over $250k, provide a Certificate of Currency noting Shift Financial Pty Ltd as the interested party.
  • If an ALLPAAP/GSA is present for the borrower, a signed Deed of Release may be requested.

Equity raise

What to provide
You may also need
  • Formal valuation report showing market value (MV) and orderly liquidation value (OLV), provided by a Shift-selected valuer.
  • Vendor details are needed to organise the valuation, and fees are payable upfront by the applicant.
  • If the financed amount is over $250k, provide a Certificate of Currency noting Shift Financial Pty Ltd as the interested party.
  • If an ALLPAAP/GSA is present for the borrower, a signed Deed of Release may be requested.

Balloon Refinance

  • Copy of a valid payout letter.
  • If the financed amount is over $250k, provide a Certificate of Currency noting Shift Financial Pty Ltd as the interested party.
  • If an ALLPAAP/GSA is present for the borrower, a signed Deed of Release may be requested.
