To support your initial application and ongoing access to finance, Shift requires you to connect your banking to your Shift account. When you do this, your banking data is encrypted, handled in line with Australian privacy laws, and provided to Shift in a secure read-only format.
Key information
- You’ll be prompted to complete your bank connection via Shift Online as part of your onboarding, and then again to establish an ongoing data stream.
- This secure, read-only bank connection allows Shift to assess your credit, set appropriate limits, and create opportunities for future limit increases as your business grows.
- Limits are based on real banking data, which means they are sized to suit the strength of your business and are ready when you need them, without having to restart the application process.
- Depending on your bank, there are different bank connection methods and steps to follow. Shift will let you know what you need to do.
- If a bank connection is not available, you will be asked to upload 6 months of PDF bank statements into Shift Online for assessment.
