Close a Business Account

Find out how to request closure of your Business Account and what you need to do before it can be closed. You can also learn how final return payments and exit statements are provided.

  • How do I close my Business Account?

Contact Shift by emailing contact@shift.com.au or calling 1300 249 649 to request closure of your Business Account.

Before we can process your request, make sure your account balance is zero and there are no pending payments or transactions. You’ll also need to provide details for a nominated business bank account so any final interest income can be paid to you.

Once these steps are complete, we’ll finalise the closure of your account.

  • What happens to my remaining return payment?

Any interest income that has accrued before your account is closed will be paid to your nominated business bank account as part of the next monthly payment cycle.

  • When will I receive my exit statement?

We’ll provide your closing statement once the account closure is complete. This will occur after the next income distribution date.
