How does my balance work?
Your Business Account balance represents the value of the units you hold in the Shift Cash Management Trust. When you add funds, you acquire units. Payments and transfers are funded through the redemption of units.
What is a unit?
A unit represents your holding in the Shift Cash Management Trust. In some managed investment schemes, the value of units can change frequently because the underlying investments fluctuate in value. For the Shift CMT, which invests in deposit accounts issued by banks, the value of a unit is considered unlikely to change and $1.00 will generally remain equal to 1.00 unit. As a result, your Business Account balance will be equal to the value of the units you hold in the Shift CMT.
How do I view my balance and transactions?
Log in to Shift Online and select your Business Account from the home dashboard. You can then view your balance and activity history in your account details.
How do I view the current variable rate?
You can view the current variable rate at shift.com.au/business-account. It is a target rate that may change and is not guaranteed.
Is the current variable rate guaranteed?
No. The displayed rate is variable and is a target rate based on the expected return from the Shift Cash Management Trust (CMT). The rate may change and returns are not guaranteed.
How do I earn a return?
